The State Historical Museum of Southern Urals - a unique treasure 

trove of historical, cultural and spiritual heritage of the region. 

Its funds holds about 300 thousand items, including artifacts of 

national significance. The museum building on the waterfront of Miass,

built in 2006, is one of the most beautiful architectural structures of the city. 

It is the place where Chelyabinsk fortress was founded in the beginning

of the XVIII century. It is no coincidence, the outlines of the building

resemble the towers and walls.
